There’s that David Gandy in his underpants again. Additional pieces to the David Gandy for Autograph collection from M&S (that’s Marks & Spencer for those of you in America) have just been released. The latest pieces we’ve seen from David Gandy for Marks & Spencer really is the perfect compliment to both brand and the face of the brand; the personification of masculinity meets elegance. Talk about living the brand.
Modelled of course by David, these photographs (snapped by the incomparable Mario Vivanco) indicate the new direction taken by Marks & Spencer in their partnership with the British Supermodel. They are sophisticated, classic and are no doubt on my wish list. Who doesn’t want herringbone underwear?
Look forward to loungewear, sweat pants and sweatshirts, in addition to full pyjama sets and who knows, maybe even another swimwear extension to follow.

One of the best things about the internet is growing access to people you would otherwise never see. Aren’t we all voyeurs in some way, don’t some of you watch trashy reality shows about people who are just famous for being famous? It doesn’t have to be based on entertainment though, social media offers a variety of platforms with which to hear about and see the on-goings of every kind of person you could be interested in. I personally like to follow a few celebrities and models to see just how normal they are. Others are just nice to look at.
I’ve scoured the feeds and come up with 5 models to follow on Instagram today. It’s a real tour around the globe, too.
1. Dimitris Alexandrou, Greece
Why? He loves animals and cares about the environment.
Georgia May Jagger, Riley Keough, Kimberly Stewart, Liv Tyler and a host of other celebrity offspring have taken their parents (or grandparents) fame and made a career for themselves in the modeling scene. It wasn’t all that surprising when Romeo Beckham started appearing in ads for Burberry last year and it’s no shocker that Rafferty Law joins the list too.
Sure, this is but a small start for the kid, but there are worse first jobs, I can attest to that. Seen here modeling for DKNY in London, 17 year-old Rafferty dons a black and white baseball shirt and his dad’s signature expression (he even carries the Law chin dimple). Young Law is signed to Select Model Management.
Look, if I were her I’d be doing the same thing. When it comes to featuring models in music videos its in your best interest to choose the best in the business and it doesn’t get any better than David Gandy. “First Love”, written by Max Martin, Savan Kotecha and Ilya Salmanzadeh, is the 44 year old American Idol judge singer and actress’ new single. Expect lots of rolling around and gratuitous flexy shots of Gandy. See the video here.
Learn Italian hand gestures with Dolce and Gabbana models right now. Hilarious, and totally worth the share. This video by Swide is exactly as the post title says and features some model greats like Noah Mills and Tony Ward (who are not Italian coincidentally). Something to make your morning a bit lighter. Check it out.
Jamie Dornan fronts the new Ermenegildo Zegna campaign under the careful new direction of Stefano Pilati for spring/summer 2014. Of course much hype is surrounding Dornan, who has been a rather successful model and young actor, with the news of his accepting to play Christian Gray. A role, I believe, that would be stupid to turn down despite the fact the books sound like utter rubbish. That said it’s a lot like Crocs, I’m afraid if I try it I may like it.
He stars alongside Paolo Anchisi in this Zegna campaign shot by Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin. While it may seem like an odd change for the designer I believe he will bring a certain elegance and design sophistication to bring the label up a few notches. Did you see the sleeve detail below? Power suiting and excellent tailoring, this one is on my list to watch for sure.
My buddy Bryce Thompson, a seemingly permanent fixture on Men’s Health magazine around the world, appeared alongside the great White, (Chad White) and Josh Truesdell on HuffPost Live to discuss male modeling. Firstly, does anyone else agree that our Bryce looks like the missing Baldwin brother?
The trio performed their best workout tricks, discussed dieting and preparing for a fitness shoot among other things. I’ve personally never heard Chad speak before, it’s quite odd to see him being so casual when he’s a bit of a living legend. Click here to see the video, it’s worth a watch!
All the boys are represented by Soul Management NY.
Here is a preview for upcoming SS13 Campaign from Sergeant Pepper entitled Motorcycle diaries. It features familiar face Wes Shankland and Izaan Venter for the campaign. The full lookbook and video will be released next week.
