Following his critically acclaimed 6th studio album, Kanye West kicked off his US ‘Yeezus’ tour with a bang last week in Seattle and wowed audiences with an electrifying performance and captivating looks designed by Maison Martin Margiela.
West, a notable supporter of the brand, is said to have 10 couture and 20 read-to-wear pieces commissioned by the avant-garde house in their ateliers in Paris to form his touring wardrobe. The looks comprise of exaggerated bomber jackets, printed trousers, the house’s signature high-tops as well as a pair of sneakers made exclusively for West. At this time neither he nor the house have commented on whether these will be released as a collaboration. In addition to this, MMM has designed four custom-made black silk-gauze masks that are worn through-out almost the entirety of the show. Take a look at the images below:
